Eating

I eat when I’m happy, Eat when I’m sad, Eat when I’m hungry, Eat when I’m glad.

I love a good balti, Washed down with wine, A nice bar of choccie, When I chill and unwind.

And I can eat with a smile, No guilty feeling, No face on my plate, My grub is more appealing.

So I eat cos I’m happy, That my dinner didn’t die, Cos the animals are my friends, Not a milkshake or a pie.

I Am

I am the mountain stream and the river’s flow, the frosty morn and the sunlight’s glow.

I am the garden sparrow and the soaring kite, a summer’s day and the moonlit night.

I am the twinkling stars that stud the night sky, the lion’s roar and a fox’s cry.

I am a still, clear pond and the ocean’s wave, pigeons cooing and dolphins at play.

I am tears of sadness for lovers apart, and when reunited I am joy in their hearts.

I am autumn leaves and a cat’s velvet fur, a deer in woodland And a kitten’s purr.

I am the dust bathing hen and the bleat of a lamb, the soulful eyes of a cow and a peacocks fan.

I am the frost on the branch and the wind through the trees, thunder and lightening and a warm summer breeze.

I am.
